Why I Wrote This Story

The Last Shift began with a simple question: What happens when the life you’ve always known comes to an end?

I’ve always believed some of our greatest transformations happen quietly. Not through the dramatic events, but through ordinary conversations, the moments in-between, and the courage to imagine a different future.

This story became somewhat of a love letter to Montréal, to reinvention, and to the idea that it’s never too late to write a new chapter.
